I know you know all the things you SHOULD be doing to get healthy and lose weight, but do you ever wonder WHY you don’t do them?  I hear this more often than you know, and that means you are not alone if you feel this way.  So many people struggle with staying consistent with their health goals, and even more struggle with even starting on them.  And this can be for many reasons… but some of the most common ones are:

  • You have tried so many times and so many different ways to get healthy, that you are in disbelief that anything will work.

  • You simply don’t have the time or energy to do what it takes.

  • You don’t have the support or accountability to follow through.

  • You have cravings and habits that get in the way too often.

And the longer I have worked on overcoming my cravings, as well as helped others with overcoming theirs, I realized that this is what is holding many women back from having the health that they desire.


I remember just over five years ago feeling out of control around sweets because my cravings for them were so strong…I remember when I couldn’t wait to get home so I could binge on my favorite foods…And I remember wanting so bad to not have these cravings anymore so I could feel good again and have confidence.  My cravings held me back from truly living.  I was shy…afraid to take chances…and I was miserable!


Then I got my wake-up call at 34 years old when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.  It was no longer just about me; it now involved my unborn child.   I no longer just wanted to get control of my sugar cravings, I HAD TO, or I could harm my baby.  Since then, I have been more passionate than ever before about helping women overcome their health struggles, and going through this myself opened my eyes to how many women struggle with cravings just like I did.


And I want you to know that cravings are not your fault. Cravings stem much deeper than you know.  We can experience them for many reasons like having nutrient deficiencies, being dehydrated, and not managing our stress well.  Once you can identify the root cause of your cravings, you can finally start to overcome them.


After identifying the root cause of my sugar cravings, I was finally able to take the action I needed to feel in control around sugar.  But there was just one problem…I wanted to still enjoy my favorite foods and feel like a normal person at social events…without feeling like I fell off the wagon.


And this is where my story took a turn.  How could I have balance…still enjoy my favorite foods…not feel like “the girl on a diet” at social events…AND still be healthy?  Like you, I wanted it all.  So I did my research…I experimented…and I implemented the strategies that worked best for me.  Strategies that felt doable long-term.
